Passive House 001 is inspired by the white Croft houses on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. The simple footprints, selective use of windows and thick walls of the Croft Houses make them an ideal typology for passive house inspiration. Passive Houses can be eco-friendly and energy independent. Utilizing renewable energy and providing on-site storage of energy can allow houses to be off grid if permitted by local jurisdiction.
